Everything's going to be ok.
Everything works out in the end. If it hasn't yet worked out, it's not the end.
Welcome to Glow-Up Friday’s #2.1
Life can get pretty overwhelming. From dealing with relationship, financial, and internal problems.
Sometimes it even feels as if every single decision is overwhelming.
Should I quit my job to do what I love? Should I pick this major or that major? Should I go and talk to that really cute guy/girl? Or even existential questions like wondering what it means to live a good life and understanding what type of life you want.
Your life is filled with so many decisions and little conflicts; that you fall into a state of paralysis. Uncertainty will start to creep in and you’ll feel like your whole world is falling apart.
You feel stuck. You feel like this is how the rest of your life is going to play out. Self-doubt and hopelessness start to cloud your mind.
Is this life worth living? Am I even making the right decision? Thoughts like those bounce around your entire mind 24/7.
It feels like you’re sitting bathing in a swamp of thoughts. Chained down, nowhere to run.
Completely trapped. You feel like you’re drowning in quicksand.
So what do we do? What can we do?
Simply believe. Believe that everything will eventually get better. That your current problems will slowly untangle themselves. Believe that you have the strength to unravel that knot. Believe that these experiences are happening for a reason; it’s not pointless or futile to put yourself through this struggle.
Believe that you’re meant to go through these experiences so that you can grow into the person you’re meant to be this whole time. Believe that once you overcome your current crisis, everything will end up being 10x better than it was before.
Believe that everything will work out even if it seems hopeless right now. Understand that if you hold yourself accountable to living right now, not in the past or future, then everything will feel lighter. It won’t be as if you have to carry the weight of the world.
Understand that although you do have to think about the future a bit, don’t end up living there 24/7. You’ll be in a constant state of anxiety.
Understand that your past shapes the person that you are right now but don’t live in that time or else you’ll keep reliving it for no reason.
Bring your awareness to what you have right now. What can you do right now? How do you want to feel right now? Learn to control your biology to calm your psyche. Meditate.
Understand that you’ll be able to look back at your current struggles and take pride in overcoming them.
All the struggles you’re facing will eventually pass. You’ll overcome them. You’re strong and capable enough to do that. You didn’t just get to your current stage in life without having developed strength and resilience. You’re capable, you’re loved, you’re abundant in so many areas of your life.
Don’t let a negligible problem consume your entire life. You will look back and realize that it wasn’t that big of a deal. If you had just focused on taking the next step and remained optimistic, everything would’ve worked itself out regardless.
Remember that a baby learns how to walk one step at a time.
Don’t overcomplicate it; just do the same. Take your life 1 step at a time. You will eventually overcome your current struggles.
You got this, everything will work out eventually and if it doesn’t then that means it hasn’t ended yet. It means that you still need to learn a few lessons for your struggles to end. It means that you might need to realize a few things before everything ends up working out for you.
In the meantime, remember to give yourself time, energy, and space so that you’re able to better solve your situations. Let yourself feel your emotions rather than suppress them. Let them pass over you. Get good rest, get good movement, get good food, get good people, and get good sleep. Don’t let you bother yourself about thoughts from the future or the past. Keep yourself accountable to maintain awareness of this present moment.
Remember the fact that you can control every single breath that you take. In the same way, you’re in control of what actions you take. Get back in the driver’s seat bestie; you’re the boss of how you want to live your life.
Everything will work out in the end. If it’s not the end, it hasn’t worked out yet.
